Sunbeam V1 Dainty, elected with Basil Lubbock to the Royal Yacht Squadron in 1923 and with past owner / current charterer George Brooks also a member of The Squadron, was invited to take part in the Fleet Review by HRH Prince Philip on 4th June off Cowes. Dainty also took part in two of the races in this special regatta to mark the bicentenary of the Royal Yacht Squadron.

Thursday was set aside entirely for getting yachts on allocated moorings, dressing ship precisely in RYS and not Admiralty order of the signal flags and having crew (even Peter Nicholson) looking smart in spotless white trousers and shirt, tie, reefer and appropriate cap. Someone remarked that never in the field of human entertainment had so many done so little yet had so much fun.

The Sunbeam was much admired.
