Friendly People

 

The racing in a One Design fleet of 25 boats is highly competitive. Sunbeams, though, race in the Corinthian spirit of sportsmanship and we are all friends when we return to the clubhouse.

From Chichester Harbour the Sunbeams can enjoy an active sailing season stretching from the end of March to the end of October.

Thursdays are for chilling out, with a race, yes, but without points or trophies. There is just a bottle of wine for the
winner which is traditionally drunk during supper immediately afterwards at Itchenor Sailing club.

The other tradition is that all are welcome on Thursdays. Turn up at the Club by 6pm and we swap helms and crew
so that everyone gets a sail. Come along.
